I've been an amazing typist since the 6th grade, when I was 10 years old.

Can't help you here

there are computer tutorials that teach typing. one came for free on my sister's last computer. try googling "typing lessons free". lots of sites come up.

I've been typing since at least the summer before middle school. All my mom had to do was teach me where my fingers went normally and which fingers pushed which keys. She told me about how I only press one key at a time except for "shift" and had me type:

The quick fox jumps over the lazy brown dog.

That's because it has all the letters in the alphabet in it. She had me type it multiple times, eventually without looking, and she also had me type regular words. At first, I had to look at the keyboard, but later I didn't have to and I was good at it. Now, I type very fast--I think in eighth grade they did a typing test and I had over 100 (letters/words/can't remember) per minute, which was well above the cutoff to get out of "keyboarding" class. Those computer programs where you type jhkjhkjhk overe and over are boring and useless; all you need is to show them how to do it and they do it!
