Frustrated

I recently started attending university for the first time in several years. One of my classes has already got off to a bad start. It's math. The lectures are three hours and occur in the evening.

On the first day, I went to the building where the class was supposed to be and the prof wasn't there. I waited 15 minutes just to make sure he wasn't late. Apparently, the class had been moved to a different building. The university didn't inform about half the class. No Email. No letter. Nothing. I didn't know until I called student services the next morning(I couldn't call in the evening because no one is there).

Anyway...When an additional 15 people showed up for class next time, the prof didn't even acknowledge the university's screw up. He even seemed a little annoyed with us. I missed three hours of crucial material and was pretty much lost for the second lecture because of it.

I've been studying the material a lot since then, and I don't think it's going to be too hard...But isn't that annoying?

I like math. It's the only subject that you can't go wrong with (and if you suspect any wrongdoing then know that there is always a way of checking).

My teachers in high school always told me that professors in colleges and universities will expect you to be fully responsible of whatever happens (even if what happens is totally out of your control). As a student one is expected to find out about things in advance and remain on the ball. Sad to say, I suffered a dozen or so blunders in my early days.

It's missteps like these that irk me, especially if the incompetent school won't acknowledge their failings. Arrgghh!
