In order to get accepted into the Master's program, I need letters of recommendation. I don't usually make friends with my teachers, so I'm not sure how to do this. I figured a good place to start would be to do research during the summer (I'm in my Junior year now, so I've only got one summer to do research if I want to start my masters immediately after I finish my bachelors), because I've heard that you get to know the faculty better that way. Does anyone else know a good way to get letters of recommendation?

Previously I got a letter of recommendation (for a different thing) from a lab teacher that I only talked with a couple times. Pretty much the only thing he could say was that I got good grades and that he was impressed with how I solved one problem when he came to check on my group. I don't know if that would cut it for Master's recommendations.

Also, I'm worried that if I only get to know 1 or 2 faculty members by doing research this summer, or if he/she/they don't like me, then I won't get enough recommendations.
