I've always struggled with motivating myself when it comes to studying but recently, I've used this method where I remind myself of all the failures in my life and strangely, they motivate me strive for better.

What are yours?

I'm a proud guy, so I look around and tell myself "son, you are so much better than this"

Basically the same thing as what you just said. I'm 26 and it's time to stop being a teenager and start being an adult and getting a life. That's what motivates me, not to mention all of the money that I'm putting in for my college education.
