Anyone staying or stayed in boarding school or college dorms? Did you notice exposed pipes in the hallway or maybe in the rooms yourself? How did you feel about them? I went to this boarding school open house and noticed exposed pipes in the hallway near laundry room and thought it was ugly. This is supposedly the top boarding school for girls in the US! Who wants to look at pipes??

I don't think I will like it as some of them do not go to sleep until late. I don't exactly like looking at a closed off ceiling either. Someone with plumbing as special interest will like looking at pipes.

I stayed at a dorm once, for two weeks when I went to majorette camp. It was at Jaxs State. I didn't care much for it, because it was so bare and all. Our floors were linoleum, we had twin beds and each had a wooden desk and a dresser. There was one phone, at the end of the hallway.

I guess they would be ok if I were older and in college, but we were all about 15 at the time.

They are sprinkler system pipes most likely, more difficult to cover up.

majorette camp?

I wouldn't want to look at exposed pipes. UGH just cover the ceiling. Dad told me when he was at a military academy for college his dorms had exposed pipes but he didn't mind. Maybe for guys it doesn't really matter? But for ladies its just ugly?

I am a guy and I don't really care. I don't exactly like looking at ceilings either.
