Graduating College. Not a big deal.
I graduate from college this year with a bachelor of Arts in History. I'm happier than hell that I did it don't get me wrong. But you know, one thing that I discovered is that simply obtaining a degree is not enough. It is one piece in a much large quest to build a sustainable life. Friends and family will celebrate the fact that you graduated but the act does not really mean much. Its just the step that you have take on the upward ladder that costs an enormous amount of money.
could've all been saved as an optimistic post. And then you go and open kids' eyes to the money factor, pfshh don't you know thats supposed to be swept under the rug until interest accrues, the noose is tightened and even bankruptcy doesn't get rid of it?
Of course, its still a piece of paper, worth more than its weight in gold, which actually lends weight to your resume and further possibilities of financial gain. But, lets instead crush the souls of the aspiring youth, those who have survived teenaged angst and highschool, and highlight the futility of all future endeavors.
Stuff costs money. It happens, after you stop getting allowances and have to actually pay rent, reality checks in and you realize you're not a f*****g child anymore; but guess what? No big deal. Its just a trade value for energy. It doesn't exist.
"culture ... is all retch and no vomit. We bring up our children, and they'll bring up their children, to live lives doing things they don't like doing, to pay to continue living spending time doing things they don't like doing. Consider money was no object; what would you do? DO THAT. Don't pither around saying you can't make any money doing it, forget the money, because if you say that getting the money is the most importatng thing, you will spend your lfie compeletley wasting yoru time, you'll be doing things you doing like doing in order that is to go on living doing things you dont like doing, which is stupid."
