Hi Frank.
Listening closely in order to respond appropriately to the questions of the interviewers is so important that I'm wondering whether it would be better for you to not try to suppress movement; since that's what you're used to. I'm afraid that too much of your mental focus would go to movement suppression, distracting from actually listening.

Working towards self control as to your movements is a worthy endeavor, but practice and refine in daily life when not so much is at stake.

Have a great time visiting schools.

thanks for the reply, I think you are probably right, trying to concentrate on not moving would distract me a lot, i don't want to find I cant answer questions because of it, perhaps i should try doing practice interviews first. :)

I don't know if this helps you, but I always try to make sure my movement is either something they can't see, such as tapping my foot behind the desk, or nodding my head so it shows them I am listening. Either way, I think you shouldn't try to focus on stopping the movement, because as someone said, it could distract you from actually listening.

GOOD LUCK!! 8)

Just make sure you can show you're interested in the university and the subject you're going to study there. Whilst it'd be nice to be able to control the body movements, generally for a university interview it's not essential (where the focus is on the subject you're studying rather than the way you come across).

Good luck!!
