I've taken one course online and found it to be quite enjoyable. However, it's not an option for me to take solely online courses at this point in time :( how disappointing!

I took one in my first semester (fall). It was a good amount of work but I think that's because it was a 4-credit class.

I did one in high school, but not college. I love them, I don't have to put up with the immature rabble that populate my other classes.

I've done some because I had no alternative that fit my schedule.. but generally speaking I prefer actually going to Class. I spend enough time as it is sitting at home behind the computer.

I love taking online classes! I'm taking a medical terminology course right now through an online course provider that my library has and have also taken free online classes through my local community college and from a website that offers free college-level courses from very reputable colleges and universities called Coursera (www.coursera.org). The courses are interesting and although they don't give you college credit they allow you to interact with students from all around the world on the discussion forums for the class and are great, challenging learning experiences.

I am taking online courses right now through University of Phoenix. I am doing my Bachelors degree in English. I should graduate in Spring 2015. It is very flexible. In order to graduate you have to take classes that last 5 weeks. The only problem with the Bachelors program there is you have to do team work, but what college doesn't ask its students to work in a learning team.

P.S, The associates degree program through phoenix is different. It is a real accredited college online too. I know of a teacher who works at the community college where I live who got one of her degree through Phoenix online.

I'm trying python on code academy, I wouldnt pay money to learn online (its much better having someone explain it to you in person).

For me it depends what subject we're talking about. If it's a social science course I definitely prefer taking online courses. If it's a math or science course than I definitely have to be in a classroom with a lecture because math and theory come really hard for me.

All of my classes are on campus. I have my doubts about online classes. I could have done online homeschooling during high school, and graduated a year early, but I would have missed out on so many things. I want the college experience, so that's why I take college classes on campus.

I am presently completing my undergraduate degree, and I take as many of my classes as possible online. The advantages are the convenience, the money saved from not having to travel to campus, and the ability to avoid having to interact with a classroom full of people. The only drawback I have encountered is the fact that the professors require students to interact with their classmates on discussion boards, and this is part of our grade. I always seem to fall short in this requirement. I'll reply to someone's post, thinking that I have a "value-added" comment, just to have that person reply that I misunderstood what they were trying to say. :(

I do. And for the most part, the experience has been great-you just need to find the right instructors! Prior to taking any, I was extremely wary of the instructors-I'd wonder why they'd choose to teach an online class over a normal classroom. Do they hate interacting with students? :O Sitting in a classroom is absolute torture for me, and usually half the lecture goes past my head, and to add to that, my own social anxiety often cripples my ability to intake information.
I'd actually say that online classes are ideal for me, especially because I find "peace" in knowing that I have complete control over how I schedule and distribute my workload. I just feel so much more comfortable and more confident when I take classes online. It's also great not having someone be staring at your face when you're giving an answer. xD
At the moment, I'm in community college, so I don't know how long this flexibility will last. I'm hoping I'll still have online options once I transfer to a four year uni.

Yep! I would much rather go to class too... However, due to health problems I dropped back to half-time, and I'm taking all my classes on-line this term.

No sir, I don't like it.
