Everyday at school, I have been dealing with the noisy hallways when we switch classes. I understand that everyone talks in the hallway, but why can't they lower their voices. Their voices are like outside voices. Also In Chinese class, those two boys were making farting noises and laughing when the teacher is talking. I tried to focus on the teacher but those two boys are disturbing me. Why can't I have peace while I am focusing on the teacher? I tried to like kinda redirect them but they won't stop. :x

That's really hard and I don't really have an answer but can relate- one of the things I found hardest about school. Not a lot you can do unless the teacher asks them to stop. In between classes and break/lunchtime were really hard- I used to go to the school library at break and lunch because it was a lot quieter.

I agree... noisy halls and obnoxious classmates pretty much defined my high school years. I did what you did (tried to redirect classmates), but they turned their obnoxiousness on me! I like Bubbles137's advice to find quiet, peaceful places to go during scheduled break periods. I used to go to a resource room for lunch and to a music room for study halls and that provided a nice respite!

Also in my school, there are a lot of students who do drugs or smoke. Do any of you on this site deal with these kind of students? The ones that do drugs or smoke?

Its probably much louder to you than it is to them.People with AS usually have issues with multiple sound sources where a NTs seem to be able to tune them out.I would suggest getting some sound islolating earbuds as they will cut down on the sound without singling you out as "that weird kid".Of course if you wear anything on your head in what I assume is high school you should clear it with the administration first. As for the kids making fart sounds I would suggest that you suggest that you bring it uop with the instuctor.

Why do the drug users and smokers bother you though?

Well smoking is really bad for your lungs. I mean if they choose to smoke or do drugs, then that's their choice, but doing drugs or smoking can change their behavior in a negative way and it can get them into trouble like having a disease or violence at school. I, myself don't do drugs or smoke.
