I was just wondering if anybody did or didn't go to your proms when you were in high school? I didn't because I had no one to go out with since I was lonely through out high school.

I wanted to go, but my friend asked me to go with her last minute and all the tickets were sold already.

There's always Senior year for me.

It seems like it would be far too hectic, and would likely risk a meltdown. Even if Makayla lived close enough for us to go together, chances are it'd be better for us to just come over to the other's house and spend the night together :3

And less expensive, too. Two prom tickets is almost a 3DS, if I'm not mistaken...

Do you have to pay to go to your own prom?

Here only juniors, seniors and their guests can go. Juniors do activities like raffles and jean-days [going to school with no uniform(most schools around here, even public ones, use uniforms)] and pay for a part of it, and the school gives the rest. I went to the first one with a cousin and to the second one with my firlfriend who was a junior anyway. It was less of a couples event and more of a friends event anyway, and bringing or failing to bring someone was no big deal.

I never even knew about it, that is how out of touch I was in my high school.

Yeah, but once I saw how much everyone else was enjoying the event, I realized I was missing out on the whole thing. Made the night very empty.

Yeah I second that. The only thing I was really looking forward to on the night was the refreshments beforehand, then it turned out that "refreshments" were only drinks, biggest disappointment.

Well as for me I wanted to go to the prom, that was if I had a girl to dance with. I remember back in my junior year (11th grade) just a week before prom, the girl who sat next to me in the lunch table asked if I would go to the prom and that she would dance with me. Since it was a week before the prom, not having bought a tuxedo, I said that I wasn't able to go to the prom. This is something that I have regretted ever since. The reason that I regret is because the next year in my senior year (12th grade), when I did go to the prom, but didn't have someone to dance with. Its one of those things that I don't even want to remember and prefer it to be forgotten. I remember seeing people buying prom pictures of themselves hanging with friends, and dancing. Whereas I don't have any memories to treasure, since my senior prom sucked!
