Anybody else hate scantron sheets or other forms of computer-graded exams?

Yep. No matter how many times I check, I always move some answers to the left.

yep, miss one number line and all your answers will be wrong even if they're right.
Plus they're messy with all that pencil lead, and I worry that it's not filled in well enough or dark enough or something went outside the line.
Is it supposed to stay inside the line, or just not go outside the line? I never know.
Somebody is just being lazy using those things, don't we have enough to think about just doing the test?

I actually circle the answers on the test paper itself and then transfer them onto the scantron after, so that I don't have to think both about the test question and about the bubbling process.

I have an accommodation at school so I do not fill out scantrons. I write my answers directly on the test, and someone from the disabilities office fills in the scantron, then I double check that it matches my answers

In my psychology class last semester, every exam was a scantron exam. I would circle my answers on my test packet before translating them to the scantron sheet. My instructor actually encouraged all of us to circle the answers in our test packets.

In my school this produced a lot of "but I chose A for that and it marked it wrong" and even if there are clear eraser marks teachers give it to them. so on scantron tests in the school it's more a matter of how demanding and persuasive you are than if you know your stuff.

I liked Scantron tests, because a filled-in dot was easier to read than my handwriting.

This. That being said, I have gotten off by a line before and as a result got the remainder of the test wrong, which really sucked.

The voting machines where I live are basically a more temperamental version of a Scantron.
