My Friday at school was not all the exciting until I left my final class at 1:30.

Outside the hall I was in, which is one of the larger buildings on campus. A large crowd had gathered on the small pedestrian mall in front of the building. Standing on top of a large concrete steam vent was a guy with a megaphone yelling forth spewing out his religious views. The guy was what I would call a fundamentalist christian extremist. Picture Ned Flanders with an attitude, that a good way to describe this guy.

Below him was a sign that said "Jesus Saves: Christianity is the only religion" Below that was a long list of so-called "devil" religions.

On the other side of the street, another crowd had gathered, they were all holding make-shift signs. Some of which said...

"Student Health in Radford Hall gives out free condoms"

"God is a fictional entity"

"Abortion: A the first amendment of women since 1973"

The scene outside was a tense one, people were shouting back and forth at each other and at the guy on top the steam vent. People in cars driving by were honking their horns and shouting things out of their windows. At the bare minimum, this guy was inciting the crowd. At one point I was tempted to shout out and ask this guy if he had any tangible evidence to back up what he was saying. However with the situation as tense as it was, I refrained from doing so.

So I went back to my room and dropped off my books and was going to go to lunch, but at the last minute I decided I really wasn't that hungry so I went back over there. The guy was taking a break from yelling, so I caught lunch anyway at the dinning hall before it closed at 2pm.

Once I got done, I decided that I really needed to get going and leave for home. As I drove down the street and past the gathering point, I saw two people on the verge of throwing punches at each other.

Just another day on campus.

Scoots,

What was the bigger crowd?
Pro or against abortion? How have
your classes since last weeks depression
issue? I didn't catch your weather broadcast
on the college station, I hope it fared well.
The weather down here from Friday to
Friday 4/9 has been iffy at that. Sunny
all day(Mon-Tue), Rainy, sunny, cloudy, rainy
on Saturday, and Sunday
(My Fleamarket days and days off). Beautiful
weather later and now rainy again. I hope your
having a better spring.
I thankyou for your contribution to the
"Darkness and Light" Forum. It has allowed
me to better appreciate who you are and
the motivations that make you you!

Sincerely,
Ghosthunter

Wow!

You seem like you did have an interesting day, Scoots. It sounds like a riot went on there, but I'm not sure. Am I right?

Our school had the whole Ward Churchill thing going on for it. But I skipped town before all the "festivities"
