I am looking for responses from people who took the NEW SAT (2006-present, out of 2400). It would be helpful to know your gender, college major, and where you studied. I would like all 3 scores if you can remember.

I took the SAT last year. I'm a male, I'm currently an English major (at the time I took the test I was going to be a Business major), and if you mean where/how I studied for the SAT, I really did not do much studying aside from just being in high school.
Reading: 730
Math: 650
Writing: 700

I never took it. I wish I did, though.

Male, Florida, switched around a lot but now fully committed to Biology looking towards pharmacy school. Took it four years ago.

Verbal: 720
Math: 710
Writing: 790

Don't know how my writing score was so high, as I really can't write for sh*t. Must have been the MC section. All in all, 1430 or 2220/2400 ain't bad, can't say it did me all that good in college though! I'll have to do even better comparatively on the PCAT if I want to have a shot at pharmD. Lesson learned: study skills > being able to breeze a m/c test

Ugh...I feel so idiotic right now....

SAT score: 1520

English: 580
Math: 490
Writing: 450 (Really could have done better if I remembered a tip from a teacher BEFORE the last 5 minutes!)

I believe the reason I did not take the SAT/ACT was because I was on an IEP, IIRC.

My foster parent didn't take me the day I was scheduled to take the SAT, but I took the ACT, got 34 (that's 99th percentile). 35 Math, 34 English, 33 Reading and Science. Didn't score great on the essay though but the time limit plus the topic made it an unfair show of my writing skills (I won first in an international essay competition but the website was deleted :( )

Does anyone know of a school that is decent in math or physics that would give me a full scholarship for that score? I can't get into a good college in my state unless I get more credits at a community college and my experience with community college was horrid. Also does it matter that I took it five and a half years ago? I wasn't allowed to apply to a good school and I was forced to get credits at a crappy school which screwed me over for getting into a good school later long story but I did fine in high school and college so far though not at the same percentile as my ACT score indicates, I get mostly As but never straight As...

I got a 2250 total:
800 Critical Reading
740 Writing
710 Math

That's the super-scored version though (I took it 3 times; the best I did for one single test was 800 CR, 740 W, and 660 Math). I took it in 2011.

I'm male, and I'm studying at Emory University. I'm a Linguistics and Psychology joint major with an Astronomy minor.

Hope this was helpful for you :)

uhhh I only took it once (no superstore), but I'm female, 18
CR: 800
W: 690
M: 710

So 2200 total. Not the best, but eh. I'm currently attending UC Berkeley as an Architecture/New Media Art Practice major, as a first year ahah. If OP is wondering about uni, I think a good thing to post would be all the school results, so uh assuming I remember everything;

Accepted: Yale(art)
SAIC(animation)
Pratt(Animation)
Parsons(Technology and Art)
Drexel(animation)
University of Southern California (School of Cinema Arts, animation)
NYU(cinema)

Waitlisted: CalArts (animation :( )

Rejected: Boston University (WTF?)

2200 I guess isn't "the best" humanly possible but that sounds pretty awesome to me.

I took them way before the writing section was a thing, I got a 1420 out of 1600 (I think it was 750/670?).

And the Boston University part is legitimately kind of weird, I got accepted there (as well as NYU and USC, in reference to your list) and rejected from Berkeley.

I can't remember my exact mindset at the time, but after the fact I feel like I would have gone to Berkeley without a second thought if I got accepted.

I was very close to going to either BU or USC but I ended up at the University of Washington basically because of my girlfriend at the time, as horrid as that sounds. The girlfriend didn't last thru a year of college, but in retrospect I feel genuinely indebted to her because I would never have fit in at USC or BU, and Udub turned out to be so perfect for me I can't even begin to explain it.

I did ACT, not SAT. If you can use those results, I had a 30 composite, with 36 Reading, 34 English, 25 Math, 25 Science, and 6 Writing. For reference, the average for Writing is a 6, and the average for other subjects is 20-22. Maximum for Writing is 12, maximum for everything else is 36. I was 21 when I took it, I took it in Missoula, Montana and was accepted into the University of Montana, but I declined to attend for financial reasons and study at De Anza College, which does not use ACT or SAT scores. My major is Urban Studies, and I am female.
