The semester is almost over for me, and it has been incredibly intense. Most of my time has focused on a massive project that was later presented to officials in my state and cities and towns throughout its largest metropolitan area (the project went very well). It was very stressful, and I thought I would be happy it is over. Now that it is over, I feel kind of sad. It was a group project, so maybe I miss the people there, but I felt as if that project gave me structure. I am going to school for another semester, but I'm somewhat dreading the next month, with nothing to do.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Yes - am experiencing this now. It is bittersweet for me, this upcoming break. Will be happy to have some time off from school during the holidays...but will also miss the people in my class. It'll be hard to not be around them for about 3 weeks. In the meantime...I'm in search of hobbies/projects that will be good for me to do at home or out in the community. Maybe I can help at a shelter, wrap presents for needy...something to benefit someone else and also allow me to continue to learn how to socialize well with kind people in my area?

Do you have any thoughts for things you might do during this holiday break?

Oh yes. There is Christmas, although I will be away from my family this year. I am also going to dabble into some life planning, and then catch up on some TV. And I'll work out quite a bit.

I actually feel better outside of school. Seems like no one is interested. Oh well.

I definitely have the blues. My grades are not as good as I hoped they would be. They're mostly "B"s and one "A;" unless I do well enough on some of my finals that they bump my grades up.

For example, I was supposed to have done a play critique for my acting class, but the weather's been getting in the way so that a lot of the performances I had planned to attend were cancelled. That could result in my grade for that class going down a full letter grade.

I've had a harder time than ever finishing up this semester, and I really look forward to the break. It felt like I hadn't had a moment's rest in such a long time when the Thanksgiving holiday rolled around, and I knew that I only had about two weeks left in the semester. I really had trouble getting back into gear, even though it was only 4 days off.

The only other thing that gives me the blues is that I can't afford much of a vacation.

Losing contact with the acquaintances I have will suck, I have trouble with being alone I fall into a depression and whenever I'm out of school and work it's the worst part.

It's just rage related to group projects for me.

It gives me the blues a little that I get so obsessive about logging on to the university's website to see if my grades have been posted yet. It doesn't matter if I know that I aced the course, either. I don't feel satisfied until I see it in black and white (pixels... ). I probably log on every hour when I am at home. I'm done studying, so I don't have a lot left to do but get plenty of nutrition and rest so that I can perform well on my last final exam tomorrow.

Was a really stressful semester. Working midnights and 2 grad classes. Project after project after project. I thought I would be relieved at the end, but I finished last paper last night and got irritable, sad, and depressed...but come to think of it maybe I just have grade checking anxiey too.
