So, I moved across the country and had to switch schools, and I just find everyone so "foreign" to me. I just feel so "outside" of everyone else. It's so weird, I just don't feel connections to any of these people, it's like I don't understand who they are. New people scare the hell out of me, and I just can't get a grip on people's personalities. One kid at school, whom I hang out with to not be alone, always say's stuff and I have no idea what he is talking about. So I just make a small laugh at the end of everything he says. Same with everyone else, nothing they say makes sense, at all. When they talk, it sounds like a foreign language, and I don't even know how to respond to 99% of things these people tell me.

It just, people scare me so much. I can't maintain a conversation either. I would be alone if I knew where I could be. I get harassed sometimes because in class, the teacher calls my name and i'm off in my own world.

Does anyone have advice on how to handle this? Is homeschooling a good option?

P.S, 9th grade.

It helps my daughter some to get away from the chaos to a quieter area, just to regroup. It isn't easy, though. I'm sorry you are going through this.

Can you talk to your parents or a counselor or teacher at all about what you might be able to do where you live? It's different in different schools and depending if you have an IEP or a 504 Plan?
