Very High Verbal IQ : Which grade should i choose ?
Hello,
I'm a 22 years old french student.
I have already fail and change of major many times but since few months I know i'm aspergers.( Here in France, Asperger syndroma is not very well known.)
So I've a over 130 verbal IQ (waisc) and a average performance IQ.
I've an great interest to understand the world particularly through history and theoretical economics, sociology and politics. I have difficulty to remembers meaningless things like figures and letters alone but a great ability to remember facts and concepts.
The thing is like a lot of Aspies i've a lot of difficulties to communicate in public and a great lack of social skills.
I would like to have a jobs like Economic thought History Teacher but i don't believe as an asperger i would be able to do that.
I have an other less developed interest which is computer science. I like that because it's only logic and i find it easy and fun. There is a lot of jobs in this area but it necessitate lot of abstract math.I only like applied math.
Can you help me to find my field of study?

Congrats on having a high IQ?
I can't help you pick a field of study. Neither can anyone else. It's a personal choice, your personal choice, and it's more about what you feel like your calling is.
The easiest way to figure this out is to take 100-level courses in the subjects you're interested in. You'll know if it's something you should pursue if you get easily excited about it. For example: I just called in sick for History because I hadn't slept the night before, but I still found a way to travel the 15ish miles by public transit even though I wasn't feeling well so I could go to my Environmental Science class. Does that make sense?
Good luck!
