Disclaimer: I actually work in a distance learning department at a community college - and due to my admin role, I am unable to take online classes at my institution.

Has anybody taken any online classes (college or other)? And did you find them easier/harder to deal with than physically sitting in a lecture? Also - did you take them from a regular college or from a site like Coursera or Udacity?

I took an online class, but I found it slightly harder because there was less of a schedule to keep to. Assignments had due dates, but there was no going to bed early enough to be well-rested for class, no getting out of the house and seeing the same faces in the same setting. I do better with hands-on or immediate feedback learning, too.
