Hi all.

I have to do a persausive speech for English 10 in a week or two - I need my topic by Wednesday. The problem is I can't think of anything to talk about whatsoever. I've browsed around some but haven't seen any of interest. (None of my obbessions can really be incoporated into persuading my classmates.) Does anyone have any recommendations?

Read the news to see if there are any political issues that you side with (or against).

Also, become comfortable with your classmates. For my class, it didn't happen until the second or third speech, but it takes all the fear out of public speaking when you know what everyone is about. When other people speak, it's terrifying to them, and we already have a leg up because for most of us, it's a familiar feeling. Either way, it makes it a lot easier speaking to a bunch of your cohorts.
