GED prep/test question:
Hey gang I was wondering if anybody knew if there is a such thing as a "special needs" GED meaning that whom ever supplies the tests for GED's will accommodate those whom have special needs I.E. Autism
I'm at the point in my life where I want to get a GED and maybe give college a try however long ago a teacher (the same one whom told me I was ret*d) told me that no they don't have GED's for special ed students however that was then I'm 33 now I think I've finally got a grasp on who I am and what I finally want to do/accomplish in my life and the fact that yes I do the HFA doesn't mean that I am ret*d or stupid as my old teacher thought I was it just means I see/learn things in a different way then NT's (what a breakthrough for me)
So getting back on track would anybody know of any services for those whom need's a little help in prepping for and/taking the test
Thanks

As far as taking the test goes, at least in my state, they do offer accommodations for those with disabilities, so if you needed to be in a room by yourself, or low lighting or something simple like that I'm sure they could help you out. Something bigger, like more time to finish the test, is another matter and you'd have to talk with them about it.
I haven't heard of prep courses specifically for autistic or other learning disabilities, but it's worth asking. If they don't have anything, the local autism society might.
