Ever since I went back to college for a post-grad, I always feel like the 'odd man out' when it comes to pick groups for group work. When it comes to fitting into a group, once I'm in one (or placed in one) I can get along with everyone fine and am treated fairly, and I get along with most of my classmates fine, but I just feel like people don't bother to 'reach out' to me. Anyone else seem to have this?

Yeah... it's called 'my entire life'.

I settle for people being polite to me, that's all I really want.

Indeed....you can't please the world!

I never got into "group work" myself. I went to school in an era when 'group work" was rare. You sat in your individual desk and listened (or not listened) to the teacher, then you worked in your workbook--that was it. Those four-seat and table sets were invented later.

When I was in college, I was forced to do "group work." There were times when I was the only person in the group actually "working."

i really never tried to make friends in college --
-closest thing i had to friends in college were my professors. and my siblings and my cat.

I really have never missed having human friends outside of my family.

i do like my animal friends.
