I'm currently on my masters in speech language pathology...failed a year because-well it's a long weird story so I'll skip it
Always felt more in special ed than SLP but stayed in SLP for who knows what reason (besides pursuing phd in neuroscience which is possible in Croatia we have combined phds)...

airplanes,construction,physics-my special interests (among neuroscience snowplows and licence plates)...
I didn't sign up for AE because it is set on campus with few other faculties and community college counting more than 20000+ people there...that was too much for me to handle at that time

Im thinking about finishing my slp masters and then signing up for AE next year...I love it, I passed few online courses, it fulfills me but the problem is Im afraid what if it is only my special interest and Im not able to cope with another start, another people, another routine change and adjustment...

do you think getting another degree just because you're obsessed with the subject is wrong idea and wrong reason to be there? I really loved to give it a try, but the other thing is-I already have one degree (currently BA in SLP) and probably getting MS next year, I have to pay tuition because that's the law...and Im afraid if I give the money, get in the classes I'll realize it's not what I want to study, just something I enjoy doing for myself...although idea of working on construction or maintenance services seems really good to me, a lot better than working with people...and the problem with SLP degree is not n working with people but being surrounded with them, I dont mind working with kids with asd,it,cp,multiple disabilities, in fact I enjoy it (and I also have a brother with multiple disabilities), but Im not living a typical SLP lifestyle (oh yes in my 'lovely' country there is a term 'SLP lifestyle' and SLPs here are most uptight as*holes even bigger than posh stars, politicians or celebrities-dont ask why I never understood it neither),I dont like being surrounded with my colleagues cut many of them are self-centered ego tripping b*****s

another thing about pursuing AE degree-I've read whole description, talked to some students, I really like the concept, practical work and the fact its only 30 people a year (well that was the reason I went on SLP-little community,40 students per year,in suburb with little traffic etc)....

does it seem like a bad idea to pursue AE degree...getting in it is really easy since we have little or none industry and only few airports so it's not 'in' and few people apply so thats + side...

confused..help...does it seem I have wrong reasons for applying and studying it?

I suggest you get a job first or get an aero internship to think about what you want to do in life. You are rushing and when you get a degree in aero, you might want to do something else. I actually wanted to do aero but now Im thinking of comp sci and astronomy. Just relax and think it through before committing yourself to getting another degree or "glorified piece of paper" as I like to call them. Talk to friends which is what I did. What made you get a degree in speech language pathology? Don't throw your 4 years getting that bachelor and maybe another 1-2 years to getting that masters.

But if you are SURE you want to do aero, go for it. Nothing's holding you back.

And if you want to get a bachelor in aero, dont get that masters. just go straight for the bachelors. dont waste your precious time for another piece of glorified toilet paper.

Very good universities offer open classes that include engineering. I would try those before diving in. Engineering is a LOT of work, and it takes many years to get a degree. In the USA, it's usually a degree and a half in regards to how many credits you need to take.

If you really love it and you can afford it then you can do it if you want. But you should probably take just a basic course at first part time to see if you like it and then next semester take on more credits if you want the degree.
