what do you think of special-education

I think special-education is wonderful for students but the system is kind of flawed it's very hard to get services. And you have a little decision in the process

I don't think it's all that special.

In my day, they were called "ret*d classes," and in essence, that's all they really were.

The classes were "busy time" so the kid got the required hours in school (actual learning doesn't seem to matter anymore) so he/she could get a diploma and be pushed out the door. Some teachers cared, but they didn't have resources to do much with the students they were given.

If you have the ability, you, as the student, should be allowed to at least have some input as to your education.

There are ways (like accommodations) where you could, despite disabilities, do well in school.
