I was just wondering if prom is really work going to if I don't like wearing a dress and I don't have anyone to go with?

What happened to that one guy you said you were interested in on the other thread? Did you ever ask him?

If you have friends going, just hang out with them. At my school, it was called a formal and that's what I did my freshman, sophmore, and senior year. Just sit and chill and hang with my friends. Of course my school was a small christian private school and there were no dates and definitely no grinding and twerking which is what they do at normal proms. If there was grinding at my prom, it probably would have given our headmaster a heart attack. :P

I asked him and he never gave me an actual response but he glanced at me in the hallway once

I've never seen the appeal of proms and never went during my high school years. However, from what I do know about them, which is rather limited mind you, they are simply a rather large social where you can hang out with friends. If you don't like wearing dresses and think you'll have a bad time then don't go. If you think it's worth it then go more power to you. Whenever I go anywhere something interesting always happens or I run into someone I haven't seen in awhile. Point being, it's your choice so make it count and have fun either way :)

I went to prom, which was the only school dance I ever went to.
It was kind of fun, something novel and different for me to eggsperience, and I'm glad I went with a date and several friends.

Going with friends is more fun. We stayed up late and went to Denny's at 12am. If you don't want to wear a dress you could wear a suit :p
Its really up to you. I thought it was worth it for me.

You should go just so you can experience it.
