In 8th period at Career Orientation, as the teacher was putting a video cassette into the DVD/video cassette player, the screen of the TV that we would watch the VHS on switched for no reason at all to a DVD that we watched a few months ago last semester.

But here's the really wierd part, the teacher opened up the DVD slot and....there was nothing in it. 8O And that was the only DVD/VHS player hooked up to the TV the DVD appeared on.

hmm.

taht is interesting.

and since there was no dvd.

equally interesting.

I'd like to believe that it was a presence, but it would have to be very strong and give someone or a few people headaches.

Perhaps the DVD player has memory or something? Either that or there was a DVD/Video in there, but whoever was checking was wrong. Perhaps the teacher was joking?

No, it was empty, I saw the disc tray with my own eyes. And the cords to the DVD/VHS player were hooked to the TV.

Is it possible that it has a hard drive?

The DVD player probably had a memory buffer of some sorts, that stores a short recording from an inserted disc. Also, the player could have been a DVR (a generic term for a TiVo-type device) with a DVD player, so the explanation in this case is perfectly reasonable.

Probably had a dvd player UNDER the dvd/vcr player. Teacher grabbed the wrong remote and pushed 'start'.

Quoted for truth.

And seriously, a "presence"? Get real.
