Let me put in a plug for Electrical. I just retired from a fantastic career as an EE. Plus, as an EE you will also be able to go after SW Eng jobs as well, so it's like a twofer.

Haha, my Dad was an EE, as was my last boss, but, I'll plug mechanical.
I always liked the mechanical aspect, and ended up specializing in HVAC (never finished my engineering degree, but, worked in the industry for over 13 years). Of course, I married a Civil engineer who focused on structural design, but, he's not here to plug that discipline. :P

I choose that field because I like the idea of creation. Some of the engineering may have something to do with art coming alive, like architecture.
