Ok so besides me being an hour early for class yesterday I noticed that there was a note on the door that read math class was moved to another room in another hallway So I walked and over to the other hallway stood and waited and waited I saw a few of my classmates walking to go to class and I told them I think they are meeting here today so like a yutz they went on to the classroom I waited and noticed that 8:30am came and nobody was waiting but me and my teacher wasn't around so I made my way back to the class room and lo and behold my math teacher was starting class and I asked another student if he saw the same memo left on the door and he said yep so I thought ok it wasn't me then the teacher got the memo out and told me to read it I did twice then she told me look more closely so needless to say it said 8PM-9:45PM not AM so needless to say I had an Autism moment so I signed in tried to downplay it by stating I hadn't had my coffee or some other on the fly excuse then my teacher kinda pulled me to the side and asked should we wait on the rest of the class maybe there's others whom are waiting I kinda said No, I think I was the only schmuck waiting excuse my french to which a few people laughed. so I took my seat.

So there's my genuine Autism phuck-up moment of the day!

I don't think the teacher took your "mistake" very seriously. He tried to make a joke out of it.

Chalk it up to an instance where, like you said, "s**t happens."

i think anyone could make that mistake, regardless of neurological state... lots of people misread things or don't pay close enough attention for many various reasons. i don't think you should fret at all about it. if you had had a meltdown after being informed of your mistake or just locked up and been unable to participate in class after that (quite possibly what i would have done), then i would say that is an unfortunate aspie moment. i think you are doing fine. :-)

At least it wasn't a meltdown.

I've come to know what the warning signs are and if I feel that a meltdown is forthcoming I'd leave the class room get my self something to drink either from the snack bar or walk across campus to the book store my instructors kinda sees it in my face so they don't really question me when I leave the room.
