So, a long time ago I was unfortunate enough to have classes with a lousy teacher. This guy was terrible, just terrible at what he did for a living, and my standards aren't even as high as most peoples'.

Besides annoyingly choosing to write his name and titles with :: before and after like a man of thirty with the mental age of a 12 year old, like ::John Doe::, he was exceptionally insecure. I think that deep down he felt that many didn't like him and his raging inadequacies at being a teacher flourished just under the skin.

So, one day, when the semester was thankfully almost over, he told a girl that she was mediocre. It was kind of funny in a way, that he should say that. She let him know later on that the only thing that was extraordinary about his life is that he had stumbled into hers.

Her comment reeks of unbridled narcissism, and alienated a lot of people, but it's true. I've been thinking about that incident a little lately and have come to the conclusion that he is as ordinary as insecure little men get. And I really dislike insecure little men.

I think she handled the situation well. Some people hated her for it, others laughed and agreed. What do you think?
