I am on a course at the local college at the moment. My group has a mere 7/8 (depends if they turn up) people in it and apart from two of them they drive me MAD! This may be to do with the fact that I am the only girl, or maybe to do with the fact that they are constantly swearing, arguing with the tutors, throwing things around and playing with their phones and MP3 players (God how I hate those things) in the middle of lessons. Next year they will not be on the course but I have 2 1/2 months left. I'M GOING COMPLETELY MAD!! !

Wow, they sound like very inconsiderate people! Why do they even bother going to classes if they are just going to be disruptive or just play with their phones?

I struggled with my classmates too. I would much rather have learned on my own. I would have got a lot more done. I found that most of the other people were just a pointless annoyance who just got in the way of my education - I can't understand why people behave like that.

I appreciate that some people have issues like ADD or might be having problems at home etc. which could manifest as disruptive behaviour and I know this is not their fault.

But there are some people who not only don't seem to want to learn, but who also want to prevent others from learning too - and this behaviour I cannot understand.

I had the same problems with some of my class mates this semester. I took to bringing attention to them and making it clear that I would not tolerate it. I had to sit in one spot cause thats where the power outlet was... (damned old class rooms). They chose seats around me and chattered all the time.. then I invited them to go outside if they wanted to talk... loud enough for the entire class to hear... "Why do you bother us with your chatter? Why not go outside if you want to talk?" They got the message the 2nd or third time I called everyone attention to them.

Wow. They are FAR worse than the people I have to deal with on a daily basis.

The people I have to deal wtih (so far) are the:

- Obnoxious "I know I'm better than you" kids
- Ditzy and stupid blondes
- The kid that gives you an odd stare that tells you that they hate you
- The extremely smart and better than me in all aspects kids
- The quiet kids (Got nothing against them becuase I was a quiet one too until group work comes up and I have to work with them)
- The clicky same hairstyle kids
- The jocks
-The Crass, Rich Spoiled Rotten Kids who don't appriciate anything

I have a small group of friends that don't fit in to any of the descriptions above (thank god).
I'm with you (I'm counting down the days)

yep even my friends can be jackasses ... but far more interesting jackasses

i have a fairly thick skin though so people have to do things like talk, deny talking when called up on it, argue till there sent to the principle (wasting quite allot of the lesson), file a claim that the teacher is abusing you then whine to me and my friends (who never showed any interest to begin with) about how she is being mistreated

ok so you dont have to do all of that but it was really annoying ..... she just wouldnt go away

Some of them yes, because they do and say things that piss me off all the time. Most of them I don't know or have ever crossed paths with, so I can't say. This is college though, you usually don't interact with many people during class.

Yeah, in High School, people were "supportive" but I'm not sure they were, they were talking down to me, or they were making fun of me.

I knew people like that in school as well. I've since found out that the people I thought were my frieds were actually just taking the piss out of me for five years.
