I just want to take a moment and talk about my great roommate. I had some previous bad bad experiences with roommates, but this past year has been wonderful. I've known her for 9 years, so I am pretty comfortable around her. She has some OCD-like tendencies, which goes well with my obsession of a spotless common area. She is very good at sticking to our established routines, and she usually warns me ahead of time if she is going to change her routine. For example get up earlier than usual. She is also an amazing cook and reminds me that I need to eat if I am too focused on something. She understands my need for my things to be left in the same spot, or else I spend way too much time searching for something that is only a foot away from where it usually is. Maybe she is an aspie too? :) hahaha.

Not too long ago our kitchen sink was stopped up. The sight and smell of the standing water mixed with food particles floating around was way too much for me to handle. My head started spinning and my nose went numb. But she was able to focus and get the problem solved, i.e. call our handyman friend who can fix anything.
