Getting the Bellwork Answer

Earlier in English. The bell work question asked "What does your family look like?" Well I thought it meant what the family looked like. And I said "White and shorter than me." It actually meant what is in your household. And that ticked me off and makes no sense. I kept complaining about how it didn't make any sense. You should changed the question to "What is in your household" Than I would of understood it. And part of the class look down at their desks disappointed or thought I was stupid for complaining about it.
