Hey, so a quick brief, I wanted to finish High School, I really did at the time, but
incompetent teachers and principals where they couldn't even give me the right class schedule was
taxing on my year 11 schooling, so I had to catch up right near the start, this was the first year
of the new VCAL, and VET course studies, I was at a loss how to do it. Or even how it worked (still don't)
Anyways after the first couple of weeks I got fed up with the school, putting me in classes of the wrong year level
and also putting me in advanced math etc;, my plan was to have an art class and a pre apprenticeship,
they couldn't do it. So I ended up ditching school and working as an apprentice anyways.
A year or so and I was done.

I wanted to get into study for roughly 8 years now but I couldn't commit to having a hecs debt.
I wasn't comfortable doing something and let the chances get to me if something goes wrong with employment.
So no, I haven't gone back to school for a course, but I want to. But I don't know if I could manage it.
Ive been hospitalized many times for psychosis and mania etc; and I don't believe I could commit to
a ritual of 9 to 3 schooling (and thats besides the hecs debts) because my body is no longer used to waking up early
and going to school. I suppose I could do it when my mental illnesses get better and stable. but another
problem is location, I cannot see myself waking up extra early to make up for the time I'll lose on travel.
I think that would kill me.

So anyways Ive been on and off studying at short courses to avoid the hecs debt, I'm planning to get into
programming and if that doesn't work out maybe I might try some work outdoors or something
to keep me healthy.

Anyways I was wondering if anyone has had problems with hecs debts? Or is there other opportunities to reach for?
Anyways I'm in australia so if anyone knows about any ways to avoid hecs debts and still become a reasonably stable and productive person, please tell me. cheers. :)

I avoided a HECS debt by not going to university. I was in TAFE a few times but I paid for that upfront because I didn't want to go into debt.
