Finals are coming up for me and I'm having a difficult time focusing on the things I need to do... Finals are always a stressful time for anyone and when I'm stressed I avoid my problems and play video games... So I've unplugged my computer for two weeks to focus on studying for finals. Except when I'm on my laptop I just end up staring at my paper and opening tabs on firefox and then closing them. What are the best ways to get relaxed and just focus on working/studying?

Exercise always helps me focus. I would ride my bike to work and would always be the most focused and productive in the first 2 hours I was there.

Some people like lists. You could break your subjects up into smaller sections and tell yourself you’ll study until you’re done with that section then take a little break.

You might want to try the pomodoro technique. Use a timer to break your work into 25 minute increments, separated by short breaks. Google pomodoro technique for more info.
