I am learning social skill through movie, the other day I saw a movie called "Donnie Darko", and people in it is super cynical in the way they interact, I do fool around sometime but not as extreme as this, In my school I saw people acting like this too. The question is :
Is this the way people being "real" and not "fake it" and acting like this will get you real friends ? :x :x :x :x

Don't worry about trying to act a certain way, if it feels unnatural or uncomfortable, for the sake of getting friends. Social skills are definitely good to have but there are a lot of ways to interact socially. I know some people who are very optimistic and some people who are very pessimistic, both types can make friends. It's more about kindness (I know that sounds cheesy), also about common interest. I find the friends I'm closest with are the ones I have most in common with. If you don't know how to meet people with your common interests, try an extracurricular that is related to your interest. If you're in school there might be clubs, or you could join a team or something. Best of luck, don't worry too much about being normal.

Having angst, and being cynical, seems to be part and parcel of being a teenager. There just aren't all that many optimistic teenagers around.

The key, really, is to give people the benefit of the doubt. While still being wary (without letting the person know you're wary).
