Literature analysis course
I'm taking an English course in literature analysis (it's a requisite for all degree plans, so it's not possible for me to just drop the course), and I really do enjoy the things we talk about and the reading/writing, but I'm no good at the analysis. A big part of that is seeing the overarching metaphors of poems and short stories and the such; for example we read this short story about a creepy guy trying to convince a young girl to come out of her house and go on a ride with him, but then the screen door actually represented her virginity and the house was a reflection of how she viewed herself, which was weird. Any suggestions on how I can build this skill set? I need to maintain a 3.5 GPA every school session to qualify for honors when I transfer, so 1 bad grade in a class would be rather problematic. Thanks for any input.
