30 days from today, I will be in Wichita Falls attending Midwestern State University, majoring in geology. I am very excited about this, and looking forward to a very fun and ultra-rewarding experience (geologists are starting out at $75,000 a year with only a bachelor's degree).

And I am also looking forward to being out on my own for the first time, and I am about 95% prepared for it!

Tim

Thanks!

I am a little older than the traditional college students myself. I'm 27.

I feel better that I'm not alone in this regard.

cool. Are your parents paying for it, or are you getting student loans? Either way good job ditching your parents, and going to school :)

It's a combination of both. And I got a scholarship from the geology department.

My decision to stay in Texas was mainly because it was cheaper. I was accepted to other schools in Texas, as well as schools in Hawaii, Idaho, and Montana.

But I am very happy with my decision.
