Today was my first day of class.

Here is a brief synopsis of how things went:

8:00am: General Economics. There were supposed to be 76 students, but not even half of them bothered to show up. My instructor admitted that this would be a very easy class.

11:00am: Beginning French 1. This was a much smaller course than the economics. This is going to be a very involved course.

5:00pm: General Chemistry 2. I had already taken Chemistry 1 at my junior college back in Houston. Tonight was the lab portion of the course, and we just took an inventory of the lab equipment, and signed a few waivers.

The school's cafeteria food was excellent, and there is a Quizno's in the student center. I have been to the Wellness Center, trying very hard to get back in shape.

I have made a few friends already, so that's an excellent start.

Tim

Cool.

I rabidly envy your cafeteria.

My second day went very well, too.

I took my GIS class this morning. GIS is computerized mapping, and it's what I did for a living for 4 years. This class should be a breeze.

Then, I took French. We had to name some countries where French was either widely spoken or was an official language. Also, we learned the basic phrases in French.

Then, it was the first lecture of my Chemistry class. We just went over the syllabus, and studied intermolecular forces.

Today, I just had my economics class.

I also entered a new frontier: coin-operated laundry.

Does it bother you at all that your French and Chemistry classes are so far apart?

No, I go to a small campus. MSU has only 6,000 students--very small for a public university in Texas.

Hey Tim, do you mind my asking if you're returning to school after working?
I'm back in school, too, as a grad student.
It's interesting to read your schedule and comments about it.

Long time no see, Aylissa!

I am going to school full-time, I am currently a junior, majoring in geology. I am having some difficulties in my chemistry class, but all of my other courses are going perfectly.
