As part of my proposal for my graduate project I have to write a dissemenation, but the guideline sheet doesn't give any description of what one is, and I'm not familiar with the term. I looked it up in the dictionary and it only said "to disburse throughout." I've been trying to look up how to write one online, but I'm not having luck with finding information about how to write one for a research proposal. And in some case I'm finding very different information on what a dissemenation is.

My outline for the paper chapter 5 says:

5.0 Schedule of Activities
5.1 Detailed Schedule
5.2 Budget
5.3 Dissemination
5.4 Assumptions and limitations

And that's all I have to go on to determine what a dissemenation is. I've sent an email to the professor, but since I couldnt' focus all summer I only have a couple days to get this major proposal done. I'm worried if I jsut wait for her reply I might not have time to write this.

I've worked around academics for decades and never heard this term used in this manner before now (in the USA). Perhaps they used spell check on the document and it substituted a different word? Perhaps "dissertation"?

If this is an overseas school, sorry, I'm not going to be much help.

No its not a dissertation. Since I have chosen the project option, it is like a thesis but not near as intense as a thesis is.

It is a US school but the professor is from Canada. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I've been told it might be how I'll distribute the findings of my research. Though that's something I don't know either, since my research is being commisioned by university - I'll hand them it, then they'll do whatever they do with studies to keep a program's accreditation.

Hopefully, I never have to write a Thesis. My roommate is getting his PHD and he has to write one. I think i'd go crazier then I already am if I had to do that sort of thing.

This isn't a thesis. We were given the option of a thesis or a project paper - I picked te project paper because its less intense. Though really aside from the fact I don't need to defend it there probably is no difference.

I would contact your college library and ask one of the reference librarians. They know all about that type of stuff and are great resources for how to find information etc. I know cuz my mom worked for college libraries her entire career.

This is an old thread. I got a 100% on the project proposal with the professor saying it was so great she didn't see any areas to suggest improvement on
