If you wanna stay in state and its between Oregon & Oregon State, be a beaver. Friends don't let friends be ducks. UW rocks em both anyways. But our dorms are world-class dungeon-y.

Not that I'm done with high school yet, but I'm relatively sure I'll apply to University of Tennessee and University of Georgia; there are a few others (California State (LA), University of Louisiana) that are possibilities, but those are my main choices.

I'll be taking college classes at Ohio State University next year though (although I'm not fond of the college, I need to go there for high school credit (as I've completed all the courses in a few subjects, but I haven't graduated yet)).

My sister went Washington (UW) and she like it.

Still, your basketball team in 06 made it to the Sweet Sixteen though you lose to UConn. Mason avenge you at least which gives me to respect to Washington for a well played season two years ago.

Brown University or Harvard. My dream being Brown. I'm basically working my ass off on extracurriculars and to keep my grades up so I can get a full scholarship there.

Colorado School of Mines
University of Texas at Austin

Been accepted to Mines. Paying for it might prove difficult. Don't know yet though, haven't got the fin-aid letter back.

Just wondering- how would having AS have affected your football skills?

I got into the University of New Hampshire. They apparently have a good program for autistics... though I'm not sure if I'm going to take advantage of it.

People applying for colleges, it is best to apply to a college that is good with your major. I have a friend that made it into Notre Dame, but ironically I don't think this is the smartest choice since she wants to be an engineering major! And what I know Notre Dame isn't really that reputable for its engineering school. Before college she was trying to get me to apply to some more highly noted schools, but I decided to go to stay in the state and go to the univeristy here because they are one of the top engineering schools on this side of the country. And overall I think I have made the best choice.

So remember value quality of the education over the prestige and peer pressure.

UPDATE: February 29th, 2008

I have changed my intentions and will attempt to apply for Portland State University.
There is an event there today which I will go to.
Hopefully there will be a financial aid workshop.

If there was list of out-of-state colleges that you had to apply for, where would you apply?

My list in no particular order:
University of Washington at Tacoma
University of Puget Sound
California Tech
Washington State
Florida Tech
University of Alaska at Anchorage
University of California at Los Angeles
University of Rhode Island
New York University
George Washington University in Washington DC

My top picks are University of Miami, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Brown University. I've also applied to places like Harvard, Yale, MIT, but I don't think I really want to go to those schools.

I've heard good things about the University of Maine at Farmington. I'm mostly going to be looking at art schools, though.

Brown, Yale, Harvard, and MIT are very hard to be admitted to.
The admissions department at all of them require close-to-perfect
scores on the ACT or SATs or an equivilant of.

Which are what I have. But really, standardized test scores end up not being too important to them, since everyone who applies has good test scores. I'm hoping to get into at least one or two of them, but I'd be happy just to get into Brown. Harvard, Princeton, MIT I don't care about so much. Yale would be nice.
