I'm doing a report on autism awareness and I was wondering if anyone had any good sources of information. "Good" constitutes the following criteriae: does not hold the view that there is an autism epidemic, does not hold the view that autism should be cured, opposes finding a cure for autism, does not make autism seem like a death sentence or something to be feared and hated, does not hold a negative view of autism. I can't find any sites that paint a positive picture of AS and autism and it's severly trying my patience. Also, does anyone know if ABOARD supports finding a cure for autism?

I've never heard of aboard.

However, for the positive light thing, try ISNT - Instuite for the Study of the Neurologically Typical. It's a bit CANTish - i.e. it tries to make out Neurotypicality is an eopdimeic and blah blah but it does, by double effect, put Autism into a good light. Or maybe my effect 1 and 2 are the wrong way round but go here: http://isnt.autistics.org/ and make up your own mind.

HI...

www.thiswayoflife.org is a very cool website that meets your criteria. Curious for your thoughts.... I have found it to be helpful as an NT mom to an Aspie son...

Most Sincerely,
Brosmadre

Thanks for the link. It's a really cool site, and it pointed me to some other sites I can use, as well, so you get extra points! :P I liked how the guy was like "don't cure me" and stuff, but I didn't see too much in the way of qualitative information. I'll check it out again, though; I kinda skimmed most of it hyperlexically, (yeah I know I made up a word...) so I probably didn't catch a lot of the infomative stuff.
