At my school we have a GSA club. It was very hard to get one. Most people did not support the idea, this is not a liberal area, but we stood up for what we believed in. We protested and eventualy, we got it. It was either they get rid of ALL clubs or they let us have ours.

I believe we do.

That being said, I'm not a group/club type person. At all. Ever.

My college doesn't have one. Even if they did, like lion said, I wouldn't join. I'm not group-friendly.

no.

we're a christian college.

hoewver I know most of the colleges in the area probably do. I'd join, just to support them.

If they had a fencing club, I'd join that as well. as well as Archery.

I support equality for gay people, but I'm not fanatical enough about the cause to join a club like that. Besides, I wouldn't want people to get the false impression that I'm gay because of the abuse and ostracism I'd face.

At Virginia Tech there's the GLBTA (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Alliance...if I remember right.) I've seen them post fliers and such and hold events, so it looks to be pretty well established.

DU (University of Denver) has a QSA (Queer Straight Alliance) and my high school had a GSA. I attend/attended both clubs and am active in QSA.

Yes. Most public universities have them, too.

College of the Redwoods has a GLBTQ club trying to get it's footing... trying to recruit more members (don't let the religious right know I used that word, "Recruiting" in relation to queers and homos... they might try to ban us at the college! 8O )

Anyway, they just had a movie night at one of the residence halls Friday, but I was working so I couldn't make it.

Humboldt State University has an active club, but then the Uni is in Arcata, California... the Devil's Den of abhorrent behavior! 8O

My school does have a GSA
and I am a very proud member.

The University of Portland, PSU, and Lewis & Clark College
are known colleges to have GSAs or UniSexes,
which is the college version of a GSA.

I'm pretty sure there is at least one of those at my school. I think my school even got some kind of award or recognition from a gay rights organization, or something like that, for some student group's outreach work. I forget, though.
