...who feel left out of this forum?

I'm afraid I don't have any advice for chemistry majors. I'm afraid I can't rant about how much art and poetry suck, because I don't feel the same way. I'm afraid I don't know what a computer programming class is like (I don't even know what RAM is; I just access the internet and hope nothing explodes).

I'm not trying to get into MIT or CalTech. I'm trying to get into weird liberal arts colleges like St. John's, Sewanee, and Swathmore. Sometimes I wonder if I can really have Asperger's if I'm as artsy as I am.

I failed Algebra I twice, Trig twice, and Calc I three times.

If I had not pushed myself, I would not at all be a math/science/technology type. . .
But I'm glad I did; it's so beautiful. I feel sad for other people sometimes because I honestly feel they are missing out. I am now a Physics major.

Art, poetry, and writing don't suck, and I think most of us don't particularly think they do. . .

I believe my greatest dispositional talent is towards language, which I also love and find deeply beautiful.

I hope you do not find yourself feeling excluded; wrongplanet, interest wise, is an exceedingly diverse place.

Are you female? I think there may be a gender difference in how As presents in males and females. Females tend to be more verbal even in the NT community. I love words and many of the arts that use language. I would like to understand more about computers but my brain just wont go there. I also love the physical and human sciences...facts interest me. Unfortunately, having dyslexia and memory problems, makes trying to decipher 10 syllable scientific terms to frustrating. I still read about these things but I can't seem to retain it.

I know there are a lot of guys on here who are also into the arts, writing and reading...so it can't all be gender related but I would like to see a break down by gender.

I think we can assume someone named MissPickwickian is female.

I personally suck at maths (any kind), consider myself to be technologically challenged, and have no huge interests in any science.
I don't have any "obsessions" at all really, and no big interests.

My major was originally geology, but I found myself consistently struggling in a lot of my classes, so I changed my major.

My parents are both business people (Mom's a CPA and Dad's a CEO) and are both good at math. (Especially my mom since she majored in it!) However, I'm horrible at it! I'm also bad at science as well. Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do for college. I'm deciding between getting a degree for designing custom homes (once I figure out what to do to get a degree for such a job) or I'll get a degree in marketing.

I'm largely taken by less academic thigs, and more of the creative production side.... I love camera work and anchorperson work, and control room work.... Broadcasting's my major.

My computer knowledge is limited to all the simple things. Never cared to learn and have no plans to learn anymore about computers.

And I'm not even trying to get into college at all.

I like math, but I like English and Art more. I guess I'm balanced :D
I really dislike science though, and I tend to crash computers :P

I like poetry, photography and some types of art.
I like animals and the countryside and walking and cycling etc.
I am not very good at maths or science, nor do I particularly enjoy them.
I am quite good on the computer, but I can't program or anything like that, I but my work at the college sometimes involves helping people on the computer and I am quite confident at it.

I'm close to being a nonmath, noncomputer, nonscience aspie.

My biggest academic talents are in math and science but I had to stop math because I can't handwrite for very long without my hand hurting for weeks and they take away points for "bad mathematical grammar" which means I can't do several steps in my head at once to save my hand from the toll of having to write out every step.

I suck with computers. It may have come from not having computer access till I was in college and then feeling hopelessly behind. People also seem to love to show how much they know about computers by spouting jargon and I just lost patience with trying to learn.

Science can be interesting but the methodology just bores me, getting bogged down in citation is not my idea of fun. Computers are also too prominent in it, now, for me.

Because of this I've had a hard time finding a good career path. I'll find one though. Probably not a typical one for an aspie.

Growing up, I liked my arts and language oriented classes better, but I was not as proficient at them as I was in the math and science classes. Strangely, I got a substantially higher english score (780 if I remember correctly) than math on my SAT though. In college, things sort of evened out and I did as well in my art classes as my science classes (I got my BS in Env. Geology). I spent several years as a professional jeweler after graduating, and enjoyed myself much more doing that than in my current position as an Environmental professional. I just wish I could pay the bills as an artist....

My father (who I'm convinced is also an aspie), has been an electrical engineer for his whole life. At 33, I'm just starting to learn what I think I need to know about electronics.
