I also have a question about medical school. Does anyone (people in medical school) know what a medical school clerkship is?

Med schools are four years after college (pre-med). Definitely get a broad education in college because those who only do the pre-med route tend to not make it in as easily as those with a more expansive education.

Biology and chemistry are definitely the most important things to focus on, however.

I'm no med student/pre-med/etc or anything like that but what I've always heard is that additional biology (beyond the pre-med requirements, like general bio, molecular bio, etc) is of limited value, when applying to med school or while in med school. Apparently med school relies far more on chem than extra bio.

Chemistry especially organic chemistry is valued (seeing as you will be dealing with enzymes protein synthesis (Biochemistry)) as well as drugs (on some level not like pharmacology) but it is fun once you realize it just like a giant puzzle

Chemistry will help with pharmacology, but as far as being relevant during most of the preclinical (bookwork) years, I would assume biology to be the most useful. After all, the classes are things like anatomy, pathology, microbiology, etc.
