I'm going away to college in a couple of weeks, although I'm dreading it right now, due to the fact that the college put me in a quad. I called them up and talked to them about the issue but they said that they can't put in a 2 person room for at least 3 weeks after classes begin. I think I am going to have a hard time dealing with living in a room with 3 other people in it. It's going to drive me insane. Does anyone have any advice on the issue?

^Well I have three suite mates last and this year at Mason but I got slowly used to it. My advice is take easy at first then slowly move up with your roommates in getting to know each other well and hanging out possible.

I dread the day that I will be living in a dorm with other people, none the less strangers. I can't handle it. I once went to an Army recruiting camp because my dad wanted me to go and it was hell. I had to live in a barrics with about 100 other strangers and there I had to share the bathroom with everyone, I had no privacy, and you had to go by their rules. Also, I wasn't able to get any of the necessary alone time either, I actually wasn't able to get any alone time at all. The camp was an entire month but I only lasted about 6 days there before I couldn't take it anymore and had to go home. I doubt that you will have the same problems with just three other people but I am sure it won't be too easy. Good Luck
