So, I'm doing a TAFE (Technical And Further Education, for those not in Australia) course in Library studies. It's pretty basic stuff, and I should have no problems with the work: my IQ is above the top 0.1%, and when I was at university, I got distinctions and high distinctions for practically all my essays. But now I keep getting my work sent back to me. Apparently it is riddled with mistakes, even though I check my work thoroughly before submitting it. Why? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? I NEVER fail (well, I do now, but not before)! What is wrong with me?

AARRRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH/hair pulling out scream of abject terror and frustration.

I'm quite good at math, but I find I make a lot of stupid mistakes, like adding instead of subtracting... Maybe you're so far ahead in your thought processes that you're prone to stupid mistakes?

Actually, you should be addressing this question to your Professor (or teacher) of this course you are taking...only he/she can provide you with the answer.

Best of luck to you!

Hi,

That was a good idea to take it up with your teachers.

but....how can you fail library studies? What exactly are you doing?

I did a Bachelor of Applied Science - Information with a computing major.

When I started, it was simply called Information Science and had developed from Library Studies.

BTW: University is actually easier than TAFE - Uni is very theoretical but they expect you to do work in Tafe.
