I am considering doing school by correspondence, in your opinion what is better correspondence or a regular classroom setup?

If you have an area you don't understand or grasp, you can get immediate feedback from a teacher. If you take a class on-line and you come to an area you don't grasp, you'd probably just blow it off. I know of one case where two people were up for a promotion at work and one of the people listed themself as having a PhD and based upon that, was hired for the position. When it was found out the PhD was done online, that person was fired.

it would depend on the class, and if you like writing better than sitting listening. i've had good and i've had really awful online classes, and (back in the day) liked the written correspondence type where they sent you the material, you finished it up and put it in the mail.

I would take philosophy by correspondence over the summer so I won't have to do it during a full semester, especially if the other classes are quite involved.
