Does anyone have the same academic stress I do?
For some reason. I tend to be generally stressed when I'm at school. I've got absolutely no idea why, but it's not a very nice feeling. I'm soon to start my A2-Levels so the stress is an important factor of my performance this year. It can slow my progress a bit (probably because people with Asperger's find it hard to cope with change and therefore learning new information), and I do panic a bit about exams (I've got 13 next year!). Even when I got my AS-Level exam results I was a little bit stressed, and it seems to be this general feeling I have that puts me in a fairly rigid mindset and makes me a bit obsessed with exams.
I am taking on quite a lot this year, I'm doing 4 A-Levels and one of them is going to be done in 1 year (which is a bit intense). However, I feel that if I did fewer exams that the stress would still be the same, so it must be general stress.
Does anyone have any good tips for calming down this stress? I've heard about some before, such as chilled music, warm drinks, exercise, but I'm a bit sceptical of these. Are there any good biological solutions (e.g. epsom salts)? What about ways of making myself feeling better (e.g. positive thinking or praising my achievements)?
Or, if I can't get rid of all the stress, what's the best way of coping with it? Do many of you feel just generally stressed whilst in school, college or university? I'd be curious to hear the reasons as to why this stress occurs.
