For those people who don't have such outgoing lives. Did you ever had to lie on those school assignments like "What did you get a speeding ticket for", "What was the best/worst experience you had with a salesperson", "Has your family ever committed any crimes", or "What famous or important person you've met"?

Yes, it is OK to create complete fictions for those sorts of assignments.

When I got assignments like that I use to get in touch with the teacher and discuss how I didn't get the benefit of experiencing such circumstances and then suggested if possible could I do a different but similar topic for the credit.

Hon, you should lie and cheat and get ahead any way you can. Of course, in most cases, playing by the rules is how you do that.

Hmm, luckily I never had to do an assignment like that. I would have had no choice but to lie.

the questions I got were things like 'what is the principle export of Bolivia? (tin...;)

A little creativity never hurts, because you're being graded on writing style, not so much the truth...

dude truth is a point of view thing. if you have any particular probrollem with telling lies, tell part truthes, such as if someone asks if you saw who egged their house, and you had, simply saw you SAW nobody. but if you dont care about moral ground, i reccomend simply making it up. because, others will more than likely decieve you later on, so its best to get in the habit now, and kill any guilt symptoms. i started telling lies when i was 4 and havent looked back ;)

What I've had to do is simply make something up, based on something I'd read, seen on TV, etc., and hope it would be believed. I would bet others do the same thing. It's amazing what people believe.

I know someone who once posted a story to a usenet group that was made up, and many people responded like they believed it. I wonder if someone who believed that story actually did what was in it. You never know.

Haha, well that's not hard.

I got a speeding ticket for going 16 over in a 55. I have gone 40 over at times though. Best experience? no idea. but worst experience... when they convinced me that a store model palm piolet (back 7 years) was the way to go. It died. I've met the CEO of chick-fil-a, and his nephew in law is one of my good friends... completely random fact. and my mom and dad both got arrested for stealing over $1000 in their early 20's.
