I got an invitation to join The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and I know next to nothing about these guys. Does anyone have any experience with this organization? If so, could you please educate me on the actual benefits you have received and\or any negative experiences with them? I'm inclined to join up, but I gotta ferret out some info about them first. Thanks for any help.

It's roughly equivalent to the "Who's who among American High School Students." More or less a scam because they want your $75. Try for Phi Beta Kappa instead.

Hmm I dunno. First of all, I'm not a high school student -- I'm a 4.0 college student. Secondly, they offer scholarships and stuff. Anyone else have intel on them?

Funny you should mention that. Because I just got an invitation in the mail a day or two ago to join Phi Theta Kappa. I wasn't sure that it was worth the bother because the club description sounds like it largely revolves around scholarship opportunities. And I'm not sure if I would continue my education past the 2 years here. But it has career resources as well. I decided what the heck, and sent in my application and a fifty dollar check.
