nop, i woudlnt recommend it. His classmates may judge him and it may upset him and motivate his aggresive behaviour more

For me, it doesn't matter. I don't have any social problems at all, for the most part.

I don't know about it though. Seems more like a bully then a Asperger's kid if he laughs at people he hurts.

I think some of my classmates know, loads of people in my school have told me that they have seen my "Squidward Gives A Tour Of My Room" YouTube video, and if they read the video description, then they'll know I have Asperger's since Asperger's is mentioned there. I have personally told some people that I'm autistic, but not many people. Although my teachers know I have Asperger's.

Your son would need help developing theory of mind, that may help with some of the problems.

i am currently working with my teachers and principles to come up wih a presentation to explain aspergers at my classes so i dont get bullied anymore because of it and i am trying to get aproval to make it a assembly for aspergers awareness so that no one will need to suffer bullying about things they cant change i think you should speak to you school counseler and sugest an assemnlyon the topic it might even help others to i would say go for it!! !! !! !! !!

If he finds it difficult to function in a social situation, he more than likely will get bullied anyway. I do agree that getting him to develop a theory of mind is better/more useful but since the child is young the rest of the class will likely be more willing to accept that he os different and therefore be more lenient with regards to his behaviour. And while it may later on be used as an insult if they accept it young I think they'll be less likely to make fun of it when they get older (or atleast that is what I think).

As for the topic at hand, I let them know but didn't tell them. I put it on my XBL profile (although I didnt say Aspie I just said autistic as I thought they'd understand that better) and the date I was diagnosed (as that was the only day I've been absent from school so they'll know I'm not just saying it [or atleast that's the theory]) but only a few of them noticed and, tbh, it hasn't made any difference.

Only my teachers and the students in my special needs class which understand me.
I think if the jerks in my class knew they would bully me to death...

Not many people know I have Asperger's, my mum always brings it up to teachers at parent-teacher interviews, other than that, only my ex-best friend (I told her when we were best friends), my autistic friend (for obvious reasons), and a few others because one boy wanted to know why me and my friend got to go to a holiday programme and he didn't, and there were two other girls there. They're all nice though.
