Hey, I know I'm a little too old to be commenting on this forum, but I just wanted to point something out.
I can understand people's reasons for hating Total Drama Island, (the art style, questionable content towards younger viewers, ext.), but I just felt that them airing the show was their first big step towards broadening the channel's target audience. Cartoon Network was taking a real risk at the time, but in the end, the show ended up being a huge success. And it's still being well-received around the world.
Since the disappointment that Total Drama: All-Stars brought to the fandom, a lot of them have left since then, but I'm one of the few that still has faith for the series.
And I look forward to seeing their new spin-off series next year.
If it hadn't been for my younger sister, I would have never gotten back into the fandom to begin with.
